Venus & Mars Unite and Make Babies

Greetings from rainy Northern California. We've had wave after wave of storms here and have been navigating water and wind, power outages, flooding and also enjoying ultra green fields and new streams and ponds.


Isn't that the way, these days? The trouble and the beauty, all woven together?


With the Sun moving into Pisces you may be feeling like retreating and taking extra naps, no matter what the weather where you live. I'm still recovering energetically from that intense Full Moon!


Earlier last week, Venus and Mars met up for the first time in about 2 years on February 21st at 6˚ Aquarius. 


This transit is a sacred union of our masculine and feminine, outer and inner, hero and heroine and can ignite fertile, creative energy. You feeling that in your life?


In Aquarius, this may be more in the realm of innovative visions and community rather than romance, but anything is possible.


They are still riding together very closely in the morning sky before dawn.


On the same day Venus and Mars were kissing we had our monthly Moon-Venus opposition. With the Moon at 6˚ Leo exactly opposite the Venus-Mars conjunction we may have had old stories from the past arise to be reviewed and possibly rewritten. 


It's a good time to note which "house" in your chart holds Aquarius, because with Pluto newly here for the next 20 years, this is going to be a place of major transformation for you. 


This energy inspired me to turn inwards for some deep, reflection around my sacred mission. (Aquarius is held in my 5th house of creativity.)


I did some time traveling into the astrology for the next 6 months to feel into the themes and was floored by the potency of this particular cycle.


Venus moves into her Underworld Phase at the end of April and re-emerges as Evening Star in early July. From my experience this is the most potent part of the 19 month cycle - the belly of initiation.


Venus and Mars will be within 10 degrees of each other (very close!) until March 15th, so these next New Venus Portals in March and April will include Mars.


We are early on in a new 36 year cycle of Venus and Mars and I'll be writing more on this soon.


If you can get up early and have clear skies to see Venus and Mars together, do it! It's a rare sky treat and I haven't been able to see it yet.
