Venus is newly in the sign of Leo, and emerging as the Evening Star. She faced off with Pluto in Aquarius yesterday, July 12th at 7:11 am Pacific. The energies are still rippling....

I see an increasing trend to look forward to the astrology to anticipate what's going to "happen." This can be helpful, in moderation. I've seen the powerful insights about how the Sky Story connect to our lives come from reflection as we can reference our direct experience.

Oppositions are about polarization, and here we have Venus, the planet that reflects our feminine, inner nature across the Sky from Pluto, the Great Transformer - the energy that relentlessly reveals the corruptions of the sign it moves through. The tension between the two opposites reveals both the positive and negative and catalyzes us to find the wisdom in between the two "sides".

The shadows of digitalization will continue to be revealed as we move into the Age of Aquarius, but this is a highlight. Venus, being the closest planet to Earth, often illuminates these themes in a more personal way. I don't deify or worship Venus or any Goddesses at this stop on my journey. I think of Venus as a wise sister rooting on us Earthlings to claim our full multidimensional capacities to re-dream this world.

Reflect on what's happened collectively with AI since Pluto shifted into Aquarius at March Equinox 2023. Pluto is now moving backwards through Aquarius and will shift into Capricorn (the shadow of Empire) one last time in early September. When Pluto shifts into Aquarius again on November 19, 2024 we are riding this Aquarian Age wave all the way until 2043.

Oppositions show us choices. Organic biological humans versus trans-human cyborgs. A culture that honors soul and nourishes human creative genius versus a culture that treats us as objects to be replaced by machines for the agenda of a few.

Venus in Leo is the inspired Artist, the Creatress and the place within where our golde- hearted child resides. She embodies our original innocence and can still create worlds with her imagination and throw parties and discover magic with her invisible friends. Venus in Leo, in her most exalted expression, is heart-centered leadership, sacred playfulness that creates bonds of care and the pleasure of shining in love.

Currently, there is a huge battle as artists innovate ways to prevent AI learning from "scraping" their original art to repurpose it in a collective database that strips them of their role as originators. ​ Programs such as Kudurru, Nightshade and Glaze are implanting codes to distort images and block AI from stealing their work.

But this is not just about professional artists. It's about all humans as creative beings and how technology can either serve our vision to create a more beautiful world or serve as a tool for the villains to monitor us and achieve total control over our biology and lives.

We are seeing how the emerging focus on technology is robbing the younger generations of their development of imagination and sucking all of us into the tech vortex. The extraction of our creative spirit is key to the sinister plans of the digitalization and replacement of human intelligence on this planet.

The reclaiming of the power of our individual heart consciousness and finding our kindred spirits with which we share resonance is the revolution. This is how we open the door to our human genius to solve the problems the dominator culture created and create the world we want.

This opposition may confront us with how much of our time and energy we waste consuming others' content instead of tending to our own creative expression.

A secondary Venus Start opened in Gemini during this Undeworld time when Venus had her second meeting with the Sun on June 4th. Changeable, airy Gemini seeded in this Venus-Sun union invokes curiosity and playfulness, in the face of the thickening energy.

The villains pull out all their tricks to convince us of their narrative and enlist our consent in greater control over our lives. More people are seeing through and rejecting the NWO mantra of "You will own nothing and be happy," as a toxic mimic to a real transition into an ecologically restorative age.

This Underworld Venus in Gemini Star brings in wind to our Venus in Leo campfire that burns bright as a center point for gathering and sharing our gifts. This energy supports practices like morning pages, journaling, and "writing down the bones," as elders, Natalie Goldberg and Julia Cameron have been inviting us to do for decades. ​

We can also learn about the shadow of Venus in Leo in this Pluto opposition. This can show up as taking things too personally, creating drama instead of seeking solutions, being hot headed and emotionally reacting, being overly self-involved without considering others' perspective. Cool off the head full of stories and fly high like an eagle, high above with a heart tuned to how to navigate power dynamics that respect each person's needs and sovereignty.

This current cycle connects back to the Leo cycle that opened 8 years ago on August 15, 2015. (If you reflect on your life, similar themes may be touched upon as this Venus Star will be activating the same house in your birth chart.)

This 19 month container of the Venus cycle that mirrors the essential energies of Life, Death, and Rebirth as she unites with the Sun, emerges as Morning Star, meets the Moon each month to surrender illusion and discover more truth on her journey, disappears behind the Sun in the Underworld for her deepest initiation and then re-emerges as Evening Star to bring the fresh wisdom of the depths into the world.

Currently, Venus is emerging from the Underworld after sunset and is visible in some locations. She has returned to the sign of Leo again in this cycle, and, as Evening Star, invites us into a maturation of the Leo energies that dawned 11 months ago.

Back to the Pluto opposition. This is the first time in this LEO cycle that Venus in Leo has opposed Pluto in Aquarius. The last time was on June 5th, 2023, at 0˚ of Aquarius, which occurred about two months before our current cycle started. We were still in the energetic container of the prior Venus in Capricorn cycle, which was a major call to embody our ancient wisdom and connect more deeply with the earth energies and create structures that support a culture of care that honors grandmother wisdom.

p.s. I searched "woman versus machine" on Pinterest to see what came up. There were no images of biological women opposite anything machine-like. There were a LOT of images and all of them were of women who had merged with tech and become part of a machine.
