Deep Scorpio Strength Seeds Sagittarius Dreams

Venus shifted into Sagittarius yesterday afternoon and brings a blessing to whichever part of your chart holds this sign. She will remain in the fire sign of the archer until November 11th.


She shows us different qualities of the feminine and the wisdom of our hearts, bodies and intuition as she moves through each of her signs. Venus rises out of Scorpionic depths where we learn that our heart can hold and transmute our most difficult experiences, she finds faith in a new vision in Sagittarius. Whatever sign Venus and the Sun meet in at the beginning of the 19 months activates the purest expression of that sign. Each cycle has a different theme, a “Mother” energy that holds the entire cycle and informs our journey.


When we sync with Venus, her dance with the Sun is cosmic support for our personal transformational journey. We are currently moving through a Venus in Leo cycle that began August 13th, 2023. This particular heroine’s journey is to reclaim our feminine power to create the world we wish to live in.


Leo is connected to our child spirit, joy and the thrill of being in the spotlight. This journey is inviting us to bring our Inner Kid along for the ride and heal those early creativity wounds that shut down our spontaneous expression.


Collectively, we are being pushed to awaken as we move deeper into the Age of Aquarius. In the past 15 years, Pluto in Capricorn relentlessly revealed the corruption of government and corporate powers and how they have made shady alliances. We are being called to see through the lies and deception put in place by malevolents in power, as well as their bid for greater control. We are being called to be leaders who create alternatives to that plan.


A week before this current Leo Venus cycle began as she was moving towards the Sun, the Maui fires destroyed many homes and ended over a hundred lives, mostly elderly. It was shocking. There were also reports of many children missing. I never saw any resolution of that rumor. (If you know anything about that, please do share.)


Many more people were questioning how the fires were started, the relief efforts and the lack of justice for those who lost their homes. At our virtual Venus Wisdom retreat the following week the heartbreak was palpable, especially when we heard from those who lived in Maui.


For those who conclude the mainstream news cannot be trusted to report on these events, social media gives us direct access to stories from our fellow citizens on the ground. There is always the possibility of distortion, especially with the new capabilities of AI. Discernment is needed through critical thinking, as well as activating and trusting our inner knowing (the outcome of our personal heroine’s journey.)


Scorpio medicine gives us the strength to see to how deep the deception goes and to understand the invisible mechanics that keep us from rising up to create a more beautiful world.


Venus in Scorpio illuminates the darkest corners of abuse and depravity so we know the game that we are in and can see what is needed for healing. When we perceive (becoming aware through the senses) the roots of this dominator culture that is centered on harm of innocence, we can engage in solutions with more clarity, passion and commitment. This is how we transmute poison to medicine. Venus in Scorpio is the Healer who is willing to extract the pus from the wound so regeneration can begin.


As Venus left Scorpio, she created a positive connection with Pluto, the planet of Death and Rebirth that is finishing out a 16 year cycle in Capricorn. This final Scorpio move feels especially important for this time as we move towards the US election and a greater division of the country that has symbolized a new level of freedom and democracy. In the last month, what greater truths were you able to see-feel-sense and how did you support your system to take in new information beyond your comfort level?


As Venus rose as Evening Star in this cycle in the sign of Scorpio, the floods in the Appalachia caused even more devastation and loss of life. I didn’t watch official news about it but heard they were weak. I started tuning in to stories on the ground and was astonished by what I heard and saw. I found a compilation that covers a lot of the strangeness around this event called "What is Really Going on in North Carolina?" that helped me better understand the situation. Send me a note at [email protected] if you would like me to share those links. 


Scorpio is the sign of the conspiracy theorist, a term coined to disparage those who do not trust the official story and dig deeper, connecting the dots, recognizing patterns and pushing the edge of beliefs.The out of balance expression of this is paranoia and not trusting anything. The nature of Scorpio is to take us beyond our comfort level to see what has been hidden. Sometimes this sobering may be necessary so we can allow old belief systems to die, enter the void of not knowing and open to a new vision.


Many “truthers” have been born in the last 4 years as one conspiracy theory after the next turned out to be true. Once on this path, the layers of deception seem endless. Some want to give up and go back to what felt “normal”, yet, like in the movie "The Matrix", there is no going back once you see. Others will be threatened as new ideas, information and evidence confronts their conditioned reality and they will attack. If you have been one who questions the official narrative in the past four years, you have likely experienced this pushback personally.


Scorpio gives us the resilience to keep going and trust the metamorphosis of our being. Scorpio and Pluto want to initiate us to live as our truest, most authentic and powerful selves. In order to achieve this, we must die to who we were, stay connected to our hearts and align with goodness. This is the heroine’s inner journey. (The hero’s journey being our journey in the external world, ideally fueled by our deepest, heart’s desires.)


When we are humble enough to admit that this reality is stranger and more mysterious than we can imagine, so much of what we have clung to falls away. It takes courage to walk this path of undoing, to question our beliefs and conditioning and embrace not knowing. This is the path of the modern heroine.


The deeper we dive into the taboo and uncomfortable, both personally and collectively, when Venus is in Scorpio, the higher we can fly with a renewed sense of faith and vision of the future we wish to create together when Venus shifts into Sagittarius. Especially as we are in the culmination of this cycle for the next four months.


We live in a culture without conscious initiation rituals that conditions us to disconnect from nature. Yet, we can consciously choose to descend and rise and become mature heroines of our time.
