Now is the time to stand in our fierce truth, innate power, and LOVE OF LIFE.
Tonight Venus and Moon meet up in the first sign of the zodiac, fiery Aries, and opens up the 5th Gate of Empowerment linked to our Throat Chakra. Look to the West after sunset for their meet up. It's a potent time to sing, write, dance, pray in witness to the beauty of the Sky and receive guidance from our hearts.
What does your Warrioress need to express during these turbulent and beautiful times? What is the fire wisdom that got stuck in your throat because you were too afraid to speak, sing, write, dance it into expression?
This morning I awoke at 5 am to the wind howling and the trees swaying. I felt the now-familiar anxiety that links this kind of wind to fires that can destroy thousands of acres of forest, eat whole towns, and create mass disruption.
I got up to let the dog out and joined her to greet Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn rising in the East. A shooting star streaked across the dark sky as if to remind me that amidst the intensity, there is always a magic, possibility.
In Northern California, we are living through the driest February on record for 150 years, we are officially back in drought. The fear of coronavirus seems to be growing daily. Elections politics in the US are heating up. 2020, here we go.
We have arrived at a pivotal moment in our human story. We are each called to embody all that we have learned about navigating the unknown with wisdom and kindness. We chose it and it's not easy. Be kind to yourself.
February was a bit of an exhale in the intensity with all this dreamy, spiraling Pisces energy and Mercury retrograde. Our rational mind is diminished under these Skies so accessing our intuitive truth may be easier than ever. Things will be getting more vivid soon and it feels like we are on the threshold of that shift with the Venus/Moon portal today.
Aries represents our most primary, raw life force - that can be used to create or destroy. Aries is the pulse of eros, desire, the urge to get what we want, anger that shows us boundaries were crossed or betrayal has occurred.
Mars is the ruler of Aries and represents the pure yang principle in the dance of polarity, with Venus being the yin principle. Venus in Aries creates an intimacy between the masculine/feminine and an opportunity for our feminine nature to embody the heroic forcefulness of Aries with the energy of Birth.
In the story playing out for thousands of years in dominator culture, the energy of Aries has been linked with war. But that paradigm of destruction is ending and we are entering the Age of Aquarius that vibrates with the electric new possibility of justice, harmony, and human genius. And, yes, we're gonna be tested to see if we can stay in compassionate neutrality as the world as we know it shifts greatly. Key Question: How quickly can I find the center?
Venus is completing her 19-month cycle that began around November 2018 - this is why she's so high and bright in the West in the Evening Sky. If you follow the thread of your heart lessons back to that time, you may see the connection between what happened then and who you are becoming. Now you can see her clearly in the southwest even before the Sunsets.
This cycle has been about confronting our deepest wounds, distortions, and trauma around intimate relating, union, sexuality, and bringing our own masculine/feminine energies into balance. Those who have done the deep dive and the grit of the inner work will be more available for a new quality of relating as we move deeper into the next stage of our evolution.
It all begins within. Radical self-love opens the way. The kind that heals fragmentation and enlivens us to the truth of our sovereignty. Humans who know their worth, stand for their truth, and live from wholeness are hard to control. Being willing to take risks to protect what is precious to us in the face of destruction is a continuing theme.
For those of you who have been following the Venus cycle with me, remember the Venus in Aries cycle spanned March 31, 2017-November 1, 2018. You may experience an echo of what you were called to take a stand for during that time.
Today, Venus and Moon in Aries also meet with Eris, the newly elevated dwarf planet named after the Greek Goddess of Chaos and Discord. In a patriarchal culture, the chaotic feminine force is a threat, and suppression of her is built into the control structures of the society. In a culture based on care, connection, and honor of all members (including the natural world) this feral energy is an inspiration, the muse, the Dakini, the liberation we are seeking. This chaos energy is resonant with the Wild Mystery of the black hole from which life emerges.
You may be hearing the call to be a Disruptor of Heart - to fuck with the control structures, institutionalized violence against women and children, war against Earth, natural way of living and healing, desecration of the feminine essence, the vulnerable, the innocent. You may pick up the sword of truth and wield it for justice in ways that surprise you, raise some eyebrows, and inspire judgment.
This energy is edgy, bold, pure of heart, and gives no fucks what others think. This is the power of life force rooted in Love, unstoppable, and focused on the mission. Drink it in, dance with it, express it, be in whatever way Life is calling you to take a stand for Truth, Beauty, and Love. If you haven't ruffled some feathers, you're probably not done yet.
The anger felt fully in the container of our hearts harms no one. This is the primary vitality of our full aliveness that we have been conditioned not to own and live.
Special shout out to those kindreds experiencing your Chiron return in Aries now (born 1966-1977) who may be feeling your deepest identity wound getting exposed. You not only have the right to exist but your unique offerings and mission are most needed just now. Keep bringing more of you.
Aries is a sacred self-centeredness. There is a distortion in some spirituality teachings that we need to get rid of ourselves in order to realize the nature of reality and unity consciousness. Venus in Aries with Eris says, "Fuck that limiting trap - I'm bringing all of my gorgeous self with me on my quest for realization and that's gonna help me win. When I'm bold enough to take up all the delicious space of who I am, we all win."
This meet-up of the Badass Feminine in Aries is amplified with a tense aspect to Pluto - the Transformation energy of Life, Death, and Rebirth that represents Primal Power. Pluto is the Queen of the Underworld, Erishkegel, who holds the keys to Rebirth and the test see how trustable we are with Power.
Misuse of power will attract the energy of destruction during this time of purification. There is no faking it as the true intentions of our heart can be seen and felt by sensitive and magical beings. Those who are Pure of Heart lead the way into the next phase of humanity.
How are we using our influence, our resources, words, and power? Are we aligned with our heart mission? How are we bringing our fierce blessings to those who need our medicine? What are the practices that bring us back to the center when the shit gets real? Time to take stock, make a plan, build in resources as we move forward in this epic year. Things are going to get wilder.
