Sun in Taurus: Venus Season is Here

At this moment, we find ourselves on the other side of the explosive global changes that began in Aries season. We are starting to integrate our new reality without knowing what comes next.

50 years ago today was the first Earth Day and the dawning of a new awareness of the need to live in greater ecological balance as stewards of this planet. Of course, this began in the Taurus season - the sign of fixed Earth that is the slowest, most fertile, and sensual energies of the cosmos. Taurus is one of the signs ruled by our Queen of Heaven and Earth, Venus, and her influences are strong now. She is super bright as an Evening star as she finishes her 19-month cycle.

Venus is key to our entry into the Age of Aquarius and we are standing on the threshold of that doorway.

Right now she is in Gemini, a changeable air sign attuned to learning through curiosity and wonder, embodied heart intelligence. Venus in Gemini knows the art of using words, poetry, flirting, play, and conversation to connect. She is preparing to go retrograde on May 13th and then start a new 19-month cycle on June 3rd. Because she retrogrades for around 40 days she stays in Gemini for an unusually long time - until August 7th.

Soon she will enter her Reset Phase. She moves from Evening Star, disappears briefly, and re-appears as Morning Star around June 9th. I experience this phase as distinctly different than her Underworld Phase, which will happen in February of 2021.

Today, we have Moon meeting with Sun in Taurus (new Moon at 10:26 pm PT) very close to the planet Uranus - the Great Awakener. We may be activated in our deepest body knowing, the kind that challenges the status quo and sparks revolutions. With a tense aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, we may be called to take responsibility for our part in creating the future we have been dreaming of our entire lives. Saturn rewards commitment and we may be getting clear about our role in bringing forth this new vision.

Yet, Venus in Gemini is in a harmonizing aspect with Mars in Aquarius. Feminine and Masculine are connecting positively now as we wrap up Venus' cycle. This life-changing time was about balancing our inner energies, saying yes to our own sacred union, and becoming more cohesive and available for relating.

I have so much to share about this next Venus cycle. I've been deep in catch up and creation mode during this quarantine time.

The last Venus cycle began when Venus met the Sun in late October 2018 in the sign of Scorpio and appeared in Libra. You may wish to start a journal or reflection process to explore what has transpired in your heart since that time. You may discover important lessons that will be vital for the next chapter.

We are coming up on our final visible meet up of Venus and Moon in the Evening Sky on April 26th. Watch for them in the Sky after dusk as they will be riding together. This is a beautiful day for a ceremony that celebrates our love of life and make space for our practices that help us find center during turbulent times. This will be the 7th visible meeting of Venus/Moon which correlates to the Crown Chakra, "Corona". How interesting is that? This portal is a powerful time for integrating the conditioned patterns that help us feel safe with our deepest heart wisdom and infinite growth.
